Meet the Chef!
Joan Allen, chef and owner, a 5th generation Seattle native, grew up on Bainbridge Island and spent many years living on the Olympic Peninsula and 3 years in the San Francisco bay Area. From the time she was 7 years old she knew she wanted to be a chef, and spent her whole life discovering the edible treasures of the Pacific Northwest. She started her own company in 2000, a dream she had for over 20 years, incorporating her love of life, food, and a good celebration. In 1975 she began her career in the food service industry at the Pike Place Market and graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at South Seattle Community College in 1981.
She has over 30 years of hands on experience in all aspects of catering, restaurant and hotel kitchens and operations. Working with Joanie’s creates a truly special atmosphere. Specialty creations and menus, combined with her extensive knowledge of authentic ethnic, regional & classic cuisine set her apart.

Offerings on our menus are selected with a great deal of care. Unique ethnic feasts, down home American food and classic cuisine, are prepared for you using the bounty of fresh Pacific Northwest ingredients.
