Picture Taken by Kevin PietteJoan Allen, chef and owner, is a 5th generation Seattle native, who grew up on Bainbridge Island and has spent many years living on the Olympic Peninsula. From the time she was 7 years old she knew she wanted to be a chef, and spent her whole life discovering the edible treasures of the Northwest. She started her own company in 2000, incorporating her love of life, food, and a good celebration. Working with Joanie creates a truly special atmosphere. In 1975 she began her career in the food service industry at the Pike Place Market and graduated from the Culinary Arts Program at South Seattle Community College in 1981.
She has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of catering, restaurant and hotel kitchens and operations. Joanie’s specialty creations and menus, combined with her extensive knowledge of authentic ethnic, regional and classic cuisine set her apart.
